About LinkLab
LinkLab is a free tool that gets a matching or sorting worksheet ready in a few minutes - from ready-made themes, your own pictures, or a built-in picture library.
Why it exists
Matching pairs is one of the first exercises where a child practises attention, vocabulary and pencil control all at once. The worksheets you find online, though, are either fixed or only in English. We wanted a teacher to be able to make one in a minute, on exactly the topic being taught that week.
Always one A4 sheet
A worksheet a child cannot finish on one sheet of paper stops being a worksheet. So the content never spills onto a second page - the pictures shrink instead. And when they would get too small, the app says so and offers fewer pairs.
Your pictures stay with you
The whole worksheet and the PDF are assembled in your own browser. Photos you upload are never sent to a server - there is no way for us to see them. Close the tab and they are gone.
A picture library in Slovak
Over 800 drawings, searchable in English and Slovak, with or without accents. No external service is involved: both the pictures and their names ship with the app, so search is instant and nothing is sent anywhere.
Pictures and licences
The pictures come from the open OpenMoji project under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. The Slovak and English search names come from the Unicode CLDR database. You may print and use a finished sheet at home or in a classroom entirely freely; if you want to publish or sell it, credit the pictures and share it under the same licence.
Fonts and accents
Headings are set in Baloo 2 and body text in Quicksand, both under the SIL Open Font License. The PDF embeds Quicksand directly, because the built-in PDF font has no č, ľ or ť - without it "Veľkosť" would print as "Velkost".
